Tips for the tastiest berry spritzers:
- Use FRESH berries, not frozen/thawed berries.
- Use a FRESH lemon instead of bottled lemon juice. I like to zest lemons with these microplane zesters, and use a basic citrus juicer, such as this one, to get fresh lemon juice for drinks (or fresh grapefruit juice - see variation ideas below!).
- Pick a sparkling water you like. If you're not into club soda or Pellegrino, choose a seltzer or flavored seltzer that you enjoy.

Variation ideas:
As I mentioned, a shot of vodka or swapping half the sparkling water with sparkling wine would be fun twists on this drink. But here are a few non-alcoholic ideas for berry spritzers:
- Muddle fresh basil leaves instead of mint.
- Add some ginger syrup to sweeten the drink and give it a little spice.
- Try it with mulberries, or with this mulberry syrup!
- Squeeze some fresh orange or freshly squeezed grapefruit juice into the drink instead of lemon.
